in case you couldn't read my writing

I helped my uncle with various tasks of restoring his car including pounding out dents, doing the oil changes on his car, changing tires, and helping him take apart the engine.

Interpretive
I think the most important thing I learned from my service learning was that most of the problems wrong with your car can be done by you. Most people assume that it takes a professional mechanic to fix your car when in reality it doesn't. I also learned more about how the car works and how to keep the car up to date in terms of maintenance.

Applied
Although my uncle's car is pretty old, he still keeps up with modern cars. He helped me narrow down my findings in my i-search paper. When I was stuck on what to use for my best answer he walked me through which finding would be best for my best answer. He also showed me what aspects of the car were important, and because his car was old I was able to compare the parts to newer ones on more modern cars to see how they've improved over time and how they've helped performance.
